Since 2011, the City of Bloomington has spent between $800,000 and $1,000,000 each year to support social service providers. Housing has been the primary focus of these expenditures. Collectively Habitat for Humanity of Monroe County, Bloomington Housing Authority, and Life Designs have received nearly half of all funding.
